The Haiku Presence Exhibition is a touring exhibition of haiku by contemporary poets with visual images by Helen Robinson. The flexible display design means that up to 20 exhibits may be shown together. A haiku is a short poem (usually three lines) which presents a single moment from everyday life in a fresh and precise way, allowing it to resonate in the reader's mind.
Our aim is to introduce the form in a dynamic way to a wider public, maximising our audience by approaching a diversity of potential venues. The exhibiton comes with a selection of relevant literature, plus interactive material, and is loaned to venues free of charge [see news below]. The portable display structure is designed by students at the Leeds Metropolitan University.
The Haiku Presence Exhibition is no longer touring, though individual banners are available for display, on request. We are working on transferring some or all of the images to this web site, so ... watch this space!
